c*link HR portal - A personalized, simplified employee experience
Role
Lead Designer
Created branding and design system
Worked with Researcher, PM and Developer
Activity
Led kick-off sessions with internal stakeholders alongside co-designer.
Collaborated closely with the development team throughout the build, helping to resolve feasibility challenges as they arose.
Impact
Initial analysis and design established a strong foundational concept and JTBD, driving the development of version 2 named Connect Me.
As an early Deloitte I-Lab product, it was successfully demoed to several major companies, generating increased investment and interest in the department.
Background
C-Link was a fully integrated platform that helped deliver HR services.
Employees could easily access HR info, use self-service tools, and get support, and all through a mobile friendly interface.
Built on Salesforce, it was designed to grow and adapt with HR needs.
Approach
I started the project from zero, leading a kickoff session with senior stakeholders.
From there, I mapped out process flows and wireframes, led UX and design through each sprint, and delivered final UI layouts for both desktop and mobile.
Kick-off, Analysis, & Ideation
Guided by market analysis and user needs, I worked with the team, defining user flows and creating initial wireframes to align the team around a clear direction.
Building the design
As user flows and activities took shape, I partnered closely with the Product Owner and Business Analyst to translate user stories into clear, engaging experiences. Our iterative approach enabled rapid reviews of functionality and layout, ensuring our decisions were aligned to business goals and user needs.
I worked closely with a UX research partner who ran regular research sessions to uncover insights and identify design challenges.
Style guide
I developed a style guide to align the team on visual language, interaction patterns, and design specifications. This helped establish consistency across the product and provided a shared foundation for collaboration.
Final Output
During demos with potential clients, the response was positive and validated the solutions we had developed.
After we completed, built, and demoed the feature to several companies, the product shifted in a new direction and was eventually renamed ConnectMe.

Reflections & takeaways
By focusing on intuitive interactions, we simplified complex processes and made daily tasks easier for internal users.
That said, if I were to revisit the design, a formal accessibility review would be a top priority.
As an internal Deloitte initiative, we faced limitations around user testing due to legal and compliance constraints.
Despite that, the design was previewed by several large corporations and was very well received, reinforcing the strength and potential of the solution.
